For 20 years now, I have been saying to myself that Cleveland needs a dome/retractable roof for all-weather sports and entertainment. It probably won't happen for years or decades, but someday, the powers that be will get it right. And, when they do, April 13, 2007, the date this blog was started, will be celebrated as Dome Day. There are probably hundreds, thousands, of reasons that Cleveland needs a dome and I plan to keep adding to my list until the dome comes home.
Good seats?
This was the scene at Indians home opener weekend in April 2007. Let's agree that this should never be allowed to happen again.

Global warming is the best reason NOT to build a dome.
Why do you say that? Can't they be built with energy-efficiency in mind, i.e. solar and wind energy? And roofs can be retractable. Imagine all the extra energy that was needed for the team's equipment and fans to drive to Milwaukee. And what about the snowblowers and leaf blowers on the field?
