The "Tribe Pride" parties are held at Jacobs Field on playoff game days. With no roof and the cold, damp weather, most people's Tribe Pride won't make it outside their house or local sports bar. Too bad - because the idea of thousands of fans coming together just to watch the game on TV is amazing. The weather is the only thing that could, and will, deter such rabid fans.

The ALCS-bound Indians had to practice in the wet, windy, cool weather today. Maybe roofs on stadiums are too expensive for this town, but what about a roof-ed practice field? Perhaps the old golf dome in Independence is available. Not such a crazy idea, given that even the Browns have an indoor practice facility.

Based on yesterday's performance against the Patriots, it is unlikely that the Browns will need to worry about home playoff games in January anytime soon. Some day, it may be an issue, and it would be great if we had the foresight to plan for that possibility - however remote - now.

Yes, even the current great weather is a reason to have a roof. With a roof, organizers would be willing to schedule concerts and other special events year 'round - like this October weekend. When the weather is great, no roof needed, but it's ready when the weather turns.
